Can you hear me now?!?!

Do you ever feel like a broken record? I swear that is all I am. I repeat myself at least four times a day. "Sterling, get dressed." "Sterling, get dressed." "Sterling, get dressed." "STERLING, GET DRESSED!!" And then he has the gall to ask me why I'm yelling! I'm sooooooooo sick of repeating myself, so today I told him from now on I will ask him to do something one time, count to five in my head, and if said request has not been accomplished I'll just tell him to go to time out. I don't know if this is going to work, but I am so tired of repeating myself!!!

Any other suggestions?

I found your blog on Robyn's blog. I do the exact same thing every day. I will tell Gavin to get dressed while I get Josh dressed. I go into his room and he is not dressed. I have thought about what to do. Recently, I decided to make a game out of it. I tell him to race me to see who gets done the fastest. (He is all about winning these days). I give him two minutes to do it and he usually has fun with it and gets done before time is up. The fact that he won is all the reward that he needs. I don't know if you have tried that but if not, it is worth a try!

It is good to know that you guys are doing good.

The only difference between Sarah's story and reality is that, to support me, she substituted Sterling's name for mine :)!

Actually now that you mention it Brandon I do recall Sarah saying that you love to roam the house naked! Close the shades before though will ya!
PS Sarah-has the time outs worked?

Oh my GOSH can I relate to this! It is a stage that Maria has been going through for a while (maybe it's not a stage then...) and it drives Lou and I CRAZY!! We have to ask her to do things so many times, and I know she hears us - she just chooses to keep doing what she's doing. And yeah, then she freaks out if I start yelling. It's like HELLO!! Just do what you're told! Man, I sound like somebody's mother... :)
