Welcome to our newest endeavor. Chickens!
The chickens we were planning on adopting met an untimely death when their barn burnt down. Poor chickens!
But since we were all set and wanted some just the same, we went to the farm store and bought six three-day-old chicks.
Look out world! Here we come!

My kids want to come to your petting zoo. How much does it cost? HaHa! You are such a good mom! Enjoy while they are little the chickens get really ugly!
You're not the first woman I've met who had a thing for chickens, so you're not alone in you "lunacy" :) Let us know how it turns out - do you have a coop for them?
Crazy's a good word for it. My sister's in the same boat so we're used to crazy around here. The only thing that comes to mind is gross, gross, gross....but, hey, good luck!
